Partnership with OKC Memorial Marathon Gets Kids Ready to Run
The first phase of our brand new partnership with The Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon wrapped up earlier this month with a special fitting session at Santa Fe South Elementary School. An amazing group from Red Coyote Running & Fitness made this possible by helping us fit all 175 runners from the school's running club for brand new running shoes from New Balance Running! If you can imagine, this was no small feat and we are very thankful for their partnership that will make this distribution possible.
Marathon Ambassador Mikayla Darden was also on hand to make that day's Running Club extra special - including group warm-ups and special games for the runners to play. We have loved partnering with this important community organization and helping more young kids get involved in running.
These shoes will be distributed by C4K and the Memorial Marathon Staff to these runners later this month. The students will then have roughly a month to train in these new shoes for the Memorial Kids Marathon on Sunday, April 28, 2019. For now, check out photos from the event below.
