13 Year Old Hosts Soccer Camp Benefitting C4K!

We have another story about a kid making a difference in their own community that comes to us all the way from Northern California!

Raina Banks is a 13 year old girl who loves to play soccer. This year, her school assigned her a project with a community service aspect. Raina's love of soccer led her to host a soccer camp for U9 to U12 players. To participate in the camp, each player had to donate $25 or a pair of cleats. Last month, Raina sent us all of her collections as well as the funds she raised from the very well-attended camp! The items she donated are already on our shelves and ready to get more kids in the game!

Raina ended her project by making an incredible presentation to her entire class about C4K's mission, how she connected to it and what it meant to her to help other kids play sports. "I know how much sports means to me," Raina said, "Without the ability to play, I don’t know what I would do. I want every kid to have the opportunity to play! I believe C4K is making a HUGE difference to kids all over! And has made an impact on me! I love everything Cleats for Kids is about."

Thank you, Raina, for being a great example to others! Your passion for the community is contagious and we couldn't be prouder of you!
