Christine Martin

Cox Communications

Christine Martin serves as the Director of Communications for Cox Communications’ Central Region. In her role, Martin oversees external relations and internal communications for Cox’s Arkansas, Kansas, Idaho, Iowa, Nebraska and Oklahoma markets. She is responsible for driving positive awareness of Cox’s product portfolio, network investments and corporate social responsibility efforts. She also oversees the company’s internal communications and employee engagement strategies as well as executive visibility.

Martin has more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry and has served in numerous roles and locations throughout the region since joining Cox in 2001. She has led many companywide projects and programs and guided the organization through significant reorganizations and change management initiatives. In addition to her experience in public relations, Martin has also spent time leading community affairs and video production teams.

An active and passionate member of the greater Oklahoma City area community, Martin has served on the board of directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters while also acting as the PR and Marketing committee chair. She also volunteered as a big sister for the organization before and during her tenure. Martin served on the board of directors for Smart Start of Central Oklahoma and currently serves on the board of directors for Cleats 4 Kids, the Greater Oklahoma City Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Midwest City Chamber of Commerce. She was asked to lead the Midwest City chamber as the 2019 chamber president and is currently serving in the role of immediate past president. In addition, Martin is an Honorary Commander for Tinker Airforce Base and works closely with base leaders and personnel. She enjoys volunteering with many organizations including Special Olympics, Boys & Girls Clubs, Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, Infant Crisis Services and several others.

Martin received her BA in journalism from the University of Oklahoma with a focus on electronic media and broadcast communications.
